Position Summary: Support the Center Director and Teachers-In-Charge on a daily basis
Supervises: Preschool Staff
Nature of Supervision: Works under supervision of Center Director
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  1. Answer phone calls for all office staff
  2. Support center staff as requested by the CD or TIC
  3. Bill parents once a month for any additional costs
  4. Attend and record minutes of all staff meetings
  5. Maintain accurate files of the staff and children in accordance with licensing regulations
  6. Maintain an inventory of classroom and office supplies; order supplies through C2F and the main office as needed
  7. Schedule and conduct center tours; assist prospective customers with information
  8. Conduct enrollment interviews when the CD or TIC is unavailable
  9. Complete monthly paperwork requested by the main office
  10. Verify staff time cards and call in work hours for payroll to the Human Resources Department
  11. Input enrollment data into the computer system and upload information on a weekly basis
  12. Ensure first aid kit is replenished on a regular basis
  13. Refer all staff inquiries or concerns (regarding the center and their role) to the CD or TIC immediately
  14. Report all signs of illness, injury, unusual behavior to the Center Director or Teacher- In-Charge
  15. Establish a safe and healthy nurturing environment for children, parents, and staff
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  1. Be sincere, helpful, and ensure to spend time with parents
  2. Ensure that the center is a safe and attractive place at all times
  3. Ability to deal with unsatisfied parents until the CD or TIC is available
  4. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  5. Ability to meet deadlines
  6. Relate joyfully and sensitively to all children, parents, and staff
  7. Greet parents cheerfully
  8. Reassure children at all times such as giving loving personal attention, comfort crying, dry tears, wipe noses, and hugs as needed
  PERSONAL DEMANDS OF THE POSITION
  1. Emotional maturity and stability.
  2. Emotional stamina to work positively with for the scheduled workday
  3. Mental stability: patient, detail oriented, flexible, sense of humor, positive, consistent, dependable, cooperative
  4. Sufficient security and judgment to handle crisis situations
  5. Able to take supervision and correction from the CD and TIC in a constructive manner
