Job Description:

We're currently seeking a preschool teacher or an aide who shares our passion for working with children and making a positive impact in their lives. As a member of our team, you'll play a critical role in nurturing young minds and helping them grow and develop. You'll work alongside a team of caring and supportive professionals who share your dedication to our mission and who are committed to supporting each other to achieve our goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

For Teacher:

Option 1:

  • Bachelor's degree in ECE, Child Development or related field.
  • 12 Credits of approved ECE or CD training courses (may be part of bachelor’s degree) and 30 hours course work in I/T development from an accredited teacher training institute/program.
  • 12-months full time experience working with children under 36-months in a licensed group care setting.

Option 2:

  • CDA and High School Diploma.
  • 12 Credits of approved ECE or CD training courses; 30 hours course work in I/T development from an accredited teacher training institute/program.
  • 24-months full time experience working with children under 5-years in licensed group care setting of which 12-months must be with children under 36-months.

Option 3:

  • 2-years of college (60 credits), preferably in ECE, CD or related field.
  • 12 Credits of approved ECE or CD training courses; 30 hours course work in I/T development from an accredited teacher training institute/program.
  • 24-months full time experience working with children under 5-years in licensed group care setting of which 12-months must be with children under 36-months.

Provisional Option: If you don’t quite have the education and experience listed above, you may qualify for a teacher in training position! Requirements:

  • At least 12 months experience working in a licensed childcare program
  • CDA or willingness to obtain one within 6 months (We’ll help you, training provided!)
  • Must be a team-player with a love for working with little ones!

For Teacher Aide:

  • Candidates must pass required state and company background checks.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Have or be willing to obtain First Aid & CRP/AED Certification (Qualified Training Provided).
  • No prior experience required; all training is provided for you, our enthusiastic new team member!
 

“A day in the life” of a Teacher or Aide can look like this:

  • Greeting the children and families as they arrive/leave for the day.
  • Implementing fun activities from our curriculum that focus on the development of young children.
  • Snuggling with little ones while singing & reading stories.
  • Encouraging physical activity while exploring the outdoors with the children.
  • Enjoying a relaxed meal after an adventurous science activity or creative art experience.
  • Ensuring that all children are safe, comfortable, secure and well-cared for.
  • Communicating with families about the children’s experiences that day.
  • Setting up the classroom for the next day of activities.
  • Going home with the satisfaction of knowing you made a difference!
