He'eia State Park is Seeking a Receptionist for Weekends!

Position Summary: First point of contact for reservations, sales, customer service, check-in, and briefing of He’eia State Park patrons participating in ocean activities

Reports Directly To: Waterfront Program Director

Classification: Part-time/Non-exempt (hourly)

Location: He’eia State Park
 

Schedule: Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 8am-4pm.
 

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities: This position has a variety of duties related to the overall execution of day-to-day waterfront activity operation, including but not limited to:

1. Providing outstanding, friendly service to customers and anyone that visits He’eia State Park

2. Uphold and adhere to operating policies and procedures as set forth by program director

3. Represent Kama’aina Kids as an ambassador of He’eia State Park and the activities we offer

4. Provide direct customer service, including answering phone calls and responding to email inquiries, taking reservations and payments, checking in customers, and providing necessary information

5. Be able to independently problem-solve minor customer complaints or issues

6. Additional duties as assigned by Waterfront Program Director, including light cleaning and office admin duties


Qualifications:

· Must have a High School Diploma or GED Equivalency

· At least 2 years of customer service experience or similar experience working directly with customers is preferred

· Valid driver’s license required

· Must clear finger printing, criminal background check, and have a clean driver’s abstract


Skills and Abilities Required:

· Ability to learn new information in a fast-paced environment

· Interpersonal skills (or People Skills) are a must, including the ability to interact with all types of personalities in a friendly, considerate, and professional manner

· Ability to work independently and complete tasks or maintain workplace standards without constant supervision

· Clear and effective communication skills

· Multitasking and problem-solving ability

· Ability to organize, manage and control workflow

· Ocean paddling, sailing, and/or boating experience/interest preferred
